How to Unlock Epic Bosses

An Epic Boss is a secret boss that appears when specific conditions are met.  To unlock Epic Bosses you need to fight all the battles and deploy specific heroes that are needed.

Be aware that these bosses are more dificult than mision and mini bosses, but, if you do defeat them, you get a chance to have a special item in the roulette.

Epic Bosses List (What you need and what you may get):

  •       Chapter 2-3: Elektra (deploy Black Cat).  You will have the chance to get the Grecian Sai
  •       Chapter 3-5: Dr. Doom (deploy Spiderman). You will have the chance to get the Doombringer
  •       Chapter 4-4: Magneto (deploy Storm). You will have the chance to get Magnetic Field Generator

  •       Chapter 7-3: Green Goblin (deploy Spider-man). You will have the chance to get the Goblin Glider
  •       Chapter 8-5: The Hood (deploy Hawkeye (You will need Spider Woman to start the battle but you can change her after that)). You will have the chance to get the Possesed Pistol.
  •       Chapter 9-4: M.O.D.O.K (deploy Invisible Girl, Rogue and Thing (You will need She Hulk to start the battle but you can change her after that)). You will have the chance to get the Only for Killing, in normal mode.
  •       Chapter 10-4: Dormammu (deploy Spider Woman). You will have the chance to get the Touch of Flame and Shadow in normal mode.
      What the special weapons do:

  •       Grecian Sai: Power Level 29.  Target One Enemy.  Type Melee / Slashing.  Effect Counter Attack - Bleeding.
  •       Doombringer: Power Level 37.  Target One Enemy.  Type Debuff.  Effect Drains Energy, Reduces enemy stats and increases agent´s.

  •       Norn Stone: Power Level 50.  Target Self.  Type Buff.  Effect Amazing Fate, grants a boost to all stats and it can be applied multiple times.
  •       Electrostatic Arm: Power Level 60.  Target Self.  Type Buff.  Effect Positive Statis Charge, attacks will shock enemies; the ones with negative static charge will receive extra damage.
  •       Goblin Glider: Power Level 69.  Target One Enemy.  Type Ranged Slashing.  Effect Stealthy (does not trigger counter attacks or protect abilities), Exploits Flying, Deadly Crits.
  •       Possesed Pistol: Power Level 82.  Target One Enemy.  Type Gun Ranged Magic.  Effect Devastates Defense and Evasion.
  •       Only For Killing: Power Level 92.  Target One Enemy.  Type Gun Ranged Energy.  Effect Psychic Energy Attack (Ignores most avoidance, shield, counter and protect effects; Deals energy damage to targets inmune to psychic attacks); High Crits; Mental Anguish (Takes heavy damage after performing the next offensive action); Migraine (Reduces damage done on the next attack)
  •       Touch of Flame and Shadow: Power Level 103.  Target One Enemy.  Type Melee Unarmed Fire.  Effect Exploit Burning; Dark Void; Burning.
      How to defeat Epic Bosses:

  •       Chapter 2-3 Electra:
The Epic boss Elektra will be teamed up by 2 Scrappers. Avoid using Infiltrators in your Marvel Avengers Alliance team when you are facing Elektra. A good Bruiser with good HP count will help a lot in this battle due to Elektra’s Counter attack ability. Otherwise, it’s pretty straightforward.
  •         Chapter 3-5 Dr. Doom:
You will face 3 doombots in this MAA Epic boss battle. The strategy for them is pretty simple: focus all of your attacks on a single doombot to destroy it. This is because the doombot has a special ability to sacrifice itself and heal other doombots. Therefore, by fully destroying a single epic boss doombot, you will not let it heal others. Or the healing done by the almost dead doombot will be very limited.
  •       Chapter 4-4 Magneto:
It is a little tricky to defeat the Epic Boss Magneto. The MAA Magneto attacks can convert target’s attacks into either positive or negative charge. Magneto will then defend himself with either Positron Shield with positive charge or Electron Shield with Negative Charge. Your attacks can only pass through the shield when it is opposite of the shield. This means that your MAA positive charge attacks can pass through Electron Shield and negative charge attacks can pass through Positron shield. However, status effects such as poison and items can prove to work well against Magneto because his shield defense can be hard to beat.
  •       Chapter 5-3 Loki:
We have here four different strategies:
  1. a). Set up the agent with support buffs. I use offensive accelerator and the batstone, this Marvel Avengers Alliance buff will give you 25% additional attack and remove 25% of enemies defense.
b). This alone makes for massive hits by the 2 heroes starting on round 2. With the massive damage that War Machine deals after the buffs Loki doesnt stand a chance even after using his illusion.
My minigun normally kills anything standing on round 3. This works so well I battle the mini boss with loki for added points.
  2. This Marvel Avengers Alliance boss strategy can be applied to any bosses. What you will need is to have Hulk at least level 2. After he has hulked up to level 5, you can boost Hulk with other buffs – Hulk Strike Patch, Zap 8, Focus Patch, and Penetrating Strike. With this setup, when you use Hulk smash you will deal awesome damage with crits 2k+ damage where you will be able to one shot epic any bosses, including Loki.
  3. Take advantage of bleed, ravage, and burn to gradually wear down the health points of Loki in battle. This method will take a long time, but however you will be able to beat and kill Loki eventually by focusing with these Marvel Avengers Alliance damage over time skills and damage effects.
  4. Observe the different color buffed Marvel Avengers Alliance Loki that you will be attacking. Focus on hitting the one with the Green Buff to avoid heals done by the red buff Loki. Avoid using multi enemy hits because all lokis will heal if you do so. Ignore the Lokis with the RED buff. In addition, you can consider using the pincer is a good idea. Pincer+spotter+Pincer gives two hits. However, you can save your agent’s stamina or apply buffs to your MAA heroes in the second round.
  •       Chapter 6-3 Doctor Octopus:
Doc Ock is a straight forward and easy battle for an Epic Boss in Marvel Avengers Alliance. The only unusual attack that you need to watch out for is that he transfers a “hot potato” ISO virus at you. This attack boosts his companions once in a while. The Doctor Octopus virus can be sent back by attacking so it’s pretty simple to get rid of. You can deal alot of damage with the ISO virus right before its expiration.
  •       Chapter 7-3 Green Goblin:
Green Goblin is alone and is a Scrapper. This combination makes him reasonably easy to defeat with Bruisers. Use a couple of Bruisers and you should be able to make short work of Green Goblin. The green Goblin is one of the easiest Marvel Avengers Alliance Epic Boss to kill.
  •       Chapter 8-5 The Hood:
This difficult Marvel Avengers Alliance epic boss battle contain three waves. Each of these levels will have The Hood being the battle leader in all of the waves.
Wave 1: The Hood (Infiltrator), Hydro-man (Bruiser), Crimson Cowl (Infiltrator)
Wave 2: The Hood (Infiltrator), Madame Masque (Tactician), Constrictor (Tactician)
Wave 3: The Hood (Infiltrator), Jack O’Lantern (Blaster), Grey Gargoyle (Scrapper)
Combat strategies: Because The Hood the infiltrator is fighting in all of the three waves, you should swap out Spider-Woman for the strongest Scrapper that you have. Some good choices of scrapper to use in this epic boss battle include Iron Fist or Daredevil.
Avoid using blasters in your team setup because the second wave of Tacticians will destroy your blaster. The third wave is the hardest with nasty debuffs which need to be dealt with quickly. The bosses in this epic opponent battle are all immune to stun.
Based on these, the best team setup is Scrapper + Supportive Tactician for this epic boss battle. Instead of Tactician you can also use a strong Bruiser as tank, however you can be rendered weak against the Jack O’Lantern in the final wave.

  •       Chapter 9-4 M.O.D.O.K:
Because M.O.D.O.K is a blaster, it is best for you to use a Tactician team to take him out easily. Some good combos include Emma Frost and Iron Man.
  •        Chapter 10-4 Dormammu:
 Comming soon
